At Empire Sports Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, we love to help Active Adults and Athletes get back to their work outs, sports and activities they love with minimal downtime.
When something like pain in the knees, back, neck, shoulders or ankles strikes or you have a injury from your work outs or favorite sport-we know it’s tempting to let it go, saying “it’ll go away on its own” with rest and time…That one day you’ll wake up and like “magic”, it’ll be as if it never happened—but that’s not usually the way it happens, and often the pain ends up worse than when it started and stops your work outs, sports and activities for longer periods.
We also know that it’s easy to just reach in the medicine cabinet, get a massage, or beg the doctor for a cortisone injection—all those may give you some temporary relief and allow you to get through this work out, push through the day, or play that one game…
…BUT that is no good for your long-term health and may even make doing all those things tomorrow impossible.
